This article explains what’s included with a Century Library membership, how download's work, and what's included.
What you get with a membership
Your membership gives you:
- Access to the full Century Library premium collection while your subscription is active
- The ability to download assets (monthly download limits apply to some of our memberships)
- A license to use downloaded assets in permitted end products (see License summary)
What’s included in a download
A download may include one or more of:
- PNG/JPG images (raster)
- SVG files (vector)
- OTF/TTF font files
How downloads work
- Log in to your Century Library account here.
- Visit our 'Explore' page to look through our archives, or visit our curated 'Collections' archive.
- Open the asset you want to download (alternatively, you can hover over the thumbnail and click the 'download' symbol)
- Click the Yellow Download button
- Your download will begin (either a .zip file, a JPG, or PNG)
Are there download limits?
Some of our memberships include monthly download limits, this will be listed within the top left of your accounts' dashboard.
What’s not allowed (quick reminder)
To protect creators and customers, your membership does not allow you to:
- Share or redistribute the original/raw files (including uploading “asset packs” for others)
- Sell or give away assets in a way that lets others extract and reuse them
- Create or sell editable templates that include the assets in an extractable way
If you’re unsure whether your project is “extractable,” see: **License: ‘Can I…?’ quick answers**.
